Established "Zizodo Foundry" which a former company of Hokuetsu. Began manufacturing of parts of piston compressor (appointed Manzaburo Shida as the 1st president).
1939

Changed the company name to Hokuetsu Industries Co., Ltd. Began manufacturing compressor HSD series. It was the 1st year as a compressor manufacturer (appointed Hikoichi Yamazaki as the 2nd president).

Spotlighted 2 stage air compressor with air-cooled W type; AW series which is not required radiator water from former Japan Navy and received many orders which was accounted 90% of whole production (appointed Kohei Matsuoka as the 3rd president).

Concentrated our energies to production of military compressor due to the World War II (appointed Masao Tanabe as the 4th president).
Navy planned development of special submarine "KAIRYU". One of the engineers was Sato Goro of Nave Special Laboratory. Navy requested Hokuetsu to manufacture high pressure compressor. This is a fate that Sato was appointed the 5th president of Hokuetsu Industries Co., Ltd.

Goro Sato, Masao Ishida, Michio Sayama and a few persons joined Hokuetsu from former Navy Special Laboratory based on will of Tanabe President "Require superior technology and talent in order to grow a peace industry in the future." This introduction of these talents made a big growth of Hokuetsu Industries after the war.

Received an order of 200/300HP horizontal compressor for mining from South Korea government under business depression after the war. This became the 1st export unit in Hokuetsu (appointed Goro Sato as the 5th president).
1950

Began Korea War. Delivered over 200 units of compressor to American Far East Army. Hoketsu made a big movement of technology level after taking thorough quality inspection with American quality control (quality management).
1952

Named "AIRMAN" as brand mark with the idea of Sato President. Technology development of Hokuetsu penetrated to the world with the nickname of AIRMAN.
1954

Executed 100hours continuous durability test with competitors in order to select an official compressor of the Defense Agency. AM250 of Hokuetsu was operated without failure until end and no problem of dismantle inspection and accepted officially.

Completed a rotary compressor AMR315 as first in domestic.
The design engineer was Toshio Shirai (the 7th president later) at that time. The rotary compressor which creates huge power with compact was highlighted as a compressor in the next new generation.

Completed the 4th construction work of factory building which Sato President proceeded under "Modern Plan" from 1960. It was one of largest compressor factory with 200m assembly line in the world.

Developed screw tooth mark "AIRMAN Profile" of AIRMAN own technology in screw compressor. Began to sell biggest portable compressor in domestic such as PDS900, PDS1200, etc.

Developed blushless generator PDG series which is excellent performance and durability in industiry as a pioneer. Thanks to this superiority, ranked the top class with a top manufacturer in short term.

Developed power saving device "AIRMAN unloarder" at unloading of compressor.

Awarded prize of Japan Society for the Promotion of Machinery Industry by AIRMAN unloader.

Completed Yoshida plant and began factory operation at Yoshida-cho to prepare diversifcation of products and development of society in the future. The ground 240,000m2 and the building area 6,500m2.

Advanced in mini-excavator field. Bagan to sell HS08, 12S, 15S, 20S. Began to sell HM series which was developed by ourselves completely 2 years later.

Completed the 2nd construction of Yoshida plant. Yoshida plant became the latest and most powerful factory of compressor and generator including casting, machining process and also sheet metal, painting, assembly devision both in name and reality.

Began to sell new mini-excavator AX series which was jointly developed with Hitachi Construction Machinery. Created a new sensation with original color of purple into construction industry which orange color is popular.

Began to sell motor driven stationary compressor outdoor type SMS series first in the industry. Developed the motor compressor with water-proof structure which was cultivated by our portable compressor. Well received becase of no requirement of compressor room and available to install at either indoor or outside.

Listed on the 2nd Division of Tokyo Stock Exchange Market.
Awarded "Invention Association Chairman Prize" and "Enforcement Achivement Prize" by our auto start-stop method of compresspor.
Began to sell diesel driven portable compressor after-cooler spec. PDS-C series first in the industry. Available to supply useful fine air to reduce the water in the compressed air by after-cooler. This development of after-cooler spec. was evaluated the value improvement and it linked to award "Miles Prize" later.

Published the paper of TCR (Total Cost Reduction) in International conference in All American VE Association.
Awarded "All American VE Association Chairman Prize."Awarded "Exellent VE Activity Prize" in All Japan VE Conference.

Awarded "Miles Prize" by Japan Value Engineering Association. It is the prize of honor for a company who produced excellent results.

Began to sell scissors lift which EN System of Hokuetsu Group developed by own and well received because of functions which were incorporated by customer's request.
Began to sell oil fence diesel driven generator SDG-F series first in the industry. Developed oil fence structure which prevent any leakage of oil and water in case to make environmental friendly as a pioneer. In addtion, available for long hours operation without regular supervision and well received by customers.

Registered oil fence diesel generator SDG-F series as "Estimated Information" of "NETIS" (New Technology Information System) in Ministry of Land, Infrastructure, Transport and Tourism and selected SDG-F series at an advantage on project tenders

Awarded "Ministry of Economy, Trade and Indutry Prize of Execellent Green Factory." Promoted tree-planting agressively and well received a remarkableachievement factory of enveironmental preparation both inside and outside.

Completed the new painting plant. Painted with diverging 2 systems automatically and merged to 1 system in original order finally. Improved paint quality and rust-proof rapidly with new and powerful painting line unparalleled in the world.
Developed new AS rotor and began to install it on the new compressor series. Materialized the biggest free air delivery in the class with the best suited and review of air-end details.

Began to sell able generator series. As per the meaning of "ABLE", available to output 3 phase-4 wire and single phase-3 wire simultaneously. Available for various power source by a unit. Possible to supply excellent power with less distortion of electric wave because of special winding (under application of patent).
Began to sell oil free scre compressor invertor control spec. outdoor type SMAD22VD first in the world. Saved the limitation of installation place to install outdoor. Controled the heat of discharged air easily.
